Trends of Married Female Immigrants Research in the Nursing-related Journals

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the trends of married female immigrants research by analyzing the nursing-related journals for the last 10 years. Method: A total of 22 published papers during 10 years were analyzed with structured analysis forms. Results: Most of the articles were descriptive, but only 3 articles reported the results of experimental study. Most common selection of subjects appeared to be based on convenience. Sixty-eight percents of research instruments were the questionnaire and the reliability and the validity of instruments were described in the most of the studies. Parametric statistics were used in approximately half of the studies. Mainly "Nursing assessment¡±has been studied (86.4%) among phases of the nursing process. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop more rigorous and various research methodology such a qualitative study, theory development, or randomized controlled trial.
